My parents needed artwork for their new home in Provo Utah. So while I was there visiting for a Spring ski trip I found some time to make some watercolors. It had been a while since I made any landscapes and I found it surprisingly relaxing working in my parents backyard on beautiful Spring days. The town of Provo sits against the Wasatch mountain range and just below mighty Mt. Timpanogos. So all I had to do was look up from my make shift card table studio and I could see snow capped peaks and be inspired. There are few things better than just sitting in the backyard watercoloring, drinking coffee, and gazing out at nature.
Oh, the skiing was amazing too. I felt so fortunate to be able to go to Utah this year and be able to ski for three days straight with my Family. I'm glad I was hitting the gym before I went because I felt much stronger in the Utah altitude this year than in 2011. Spring time conditions are always a thrill because you never know what you're going to get from one hill to the next.
Also, I want to send a thanks out to my Grandparents and my Girlfriend Nicole for taking care of our dog Levi.
